TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 16TH @ THE DRYDOCK RESTAURANT.  6:00PM SOCIAL HOUR AND DINNER  7:00PM GENERAL MEETING. 

Jason Rockvam, from Wilderness Place Lodge, will present information on his lodge, fly fishing Alaska and some of the involvements of the Alaska Fly Fishers federation chapter, giving insight to possible programs our club may be interested in pursuing in the Duluth community.

Hex Camp in Grand Marais, MN
AFF members meet up the north shore for the hexigenia hatch on Gunflint Trail lakes and rivers.  Here are the details.  Please note that there will be a potluck on Saturday evening starting about 4:00pm, grills will be available and we will have the screen porch area to gather.

Lodging

Pine Mountain Campground, this is a favorite place for AFF members to camp.  There are several campsites reserved for the club.  Phone: 218-387-1619 ask for Kathy or Greg.  Directions:  Take county road 12 (Gunflint Trail) north 4 miles.  Take a left on county road 8 another 4 miles until you see the General Store and Pine Mountain campground sign. 

Judge Magney State Park, located 14 miles north of Grand Marais on Hwy 61.  There are 27 drive in wooded campsites with showers and flush toilets available.  Make reservations at 866-857-2757 or www.stayatmnparks.com.  Vehicle permits and camping fees required.  All firewood must be bought at the park or registered wood seller.

Kimball Lake Campground, located 12 miles North of Grand Marais.  There are 10 camp sites available. Register through the National Reservation System at www.recreation.gov.

Other lodging sites include Devil's Track Lodge and Devil's Track Campground.
